Originally from Istanbul (Turkey), Elly grew up in Dubai and completed a B.Sc. in Psychology and a M.Sc. in Clinical Psychology in the Netherlands. She went onto gain applied experience and training in Madrid, Spain, working with Alzheimer inpatients. Under supervision and later independently Elly designed and administered cognitive stimulation both individually and in group-settings. She also gained administrative and interpretive experience with evaluating progress, in-takes and assessing clients/patients through diagnostic instruments as well as feedback giving and devising treatment plans and plan-revisions.

After that, she went on to gain applied experience in online therapy, to master the most efficient delivery of services through such a medium, where she trained under experienced psychologists in Remote Clinic to improve her skills and applied-knowledge. Following this, she completed a 1 year certification course to become a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Practitioner from the Cleveland Center for Cognitive Therapy.

Oriented towards evidence-based practices, she is a scientist-practitioner eager to continuously expand on her theoretical knowledge of psychology and psychotherapy by staying up to date with the latest interventions and attending seminars/workshops.

She now focuses on providing therapy online through platforms such as Remote Clinic, Modern Health and Nilo Health as well as her  current website to allow quick and easy access as many individuals looking for therapy as possible, without physical or temporal boundaries.
